Paper Rhino is a Peterborough based design Co-op offering creative services in graphic design, illustration, art, typography, animation, and website design. We are based in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire and work with a wide range of organisations, from small businesses to charities and NGOs.
We started in 2011 as a workers’ co-operative. Since then, we’ve remained committed to affordable and ethical design. Our goal is to support socially conscious clients with creative solutions that are both meaningful and accessible.
As a creative co-op in Peterborough, our team is deeply passionate about design. Each of us brings individual talent, but we always work together. Because we operate without hierarchy, every project benefits from a collaborative, open process. This approach helps us stay connected to the community while producing work that matters.
We have worked with:

Aisleen Parker, City College Brook Street
“Paper Rhino were commissioned to provide a sensory room for the college for learners with a range of disabilities. Throughout the collaboration, they were professional and ensured that the room would be accessible for all. Time keeping, quality of work and dedication to the task were exemplary and I would highly recommend them.”

Lizzy, The Kindling Trust
“Paper Rhino are absolute legends! They have worked with us on various projects, and every time it has been a dream – they somehow manage to extract exactly what we’re trying to say from our rambling requests and vague ideas, and create beautiful illustrations and fantastic designs that communicate our message perfectly. Thanks so much to you all, we look forward to continuing to work with you.”

Elisabeth Crump, Editor of Broadleaf Magazine
“We love working with Paper Rhino on Broadleaf magazine; their innovative approach keeps each page inspiring and fresh, and they collaborate brilliantly with our in-house team.”
Peterborough Design Co-op
Over the years, our Peterborough-based design Co-op has partnered with local organisations to deliver impactful projects. For example, we created a large illustrated wildlife map for Nene Park Trust. This piece welcomes visitors and helps them explore the space more easily. In addition, we’ve supported public art projects, led creative workshops, and painted murals across the city. These efforts are part of our mission to make Peterborough more vibrant through design.
