Youth-led mural with augmened reality

Collaborative mural with a group of teens, helping them re-design the Young Adult area of Loughborough Library. We ran a series of workshops and reshaped the students’ character designs into a scene and a series of doodles which we coached them to help paint and draw onto the walls and pillars. One student said “I feel like everyone got a say in it, and that’s my favourite part”. We modelled some animated 3D characters and overlaid them onto the mural, using augmented reality. Visitors to the library can now scan the mural using their phones and bring the design to life.
