Gateway Film Festival Branding

We’ve been involved with Peterborough’s community film festival since it began in 2019 and it’s been a pleasure to watch it grow year after year. Gateway aims to celebrate local history and community as well as being Peterborough’s gateway to film culture from the past and around the world. Every year it includes a diverse selection of titles, as well as extras such as local film tours, Bollywood style dancers and puppet shows.

Back in 2019 we designed the logo by playing around with gateway shapes, inspired by local architecture, using ink to create a freehand look. Previous designs for the poster, flyer and event programme have focussed on a ticket motif but this year we really wanted to showcase characters from the films themselves. After all – that’s what the festival is all about.
