Peterborough Presents – Carnival club workshop

In this Carnival Club workshop with Peterborough Presents, we transformed the space into a colourful jungle filled with creativity and movement.

Around the room, we set up a series of themed stations with props like tropical birds, wild animals, vibrant plants, and juicy fruits. The group danced between each station, stopping for just one minute at a time to sketch whatever caught their eye.

After everyone had visited all the stations, we gathered the drawings and began collaging them onto bird-shaped templates. The idea was to create a Bird of Paradise that reflected the spirit and personality of the community group.

It was brilliant to see how much joy the activities brought. There was a real buzz in the room, with people laughing, dancing, and throwing themselves into the creative process. The final birds were full of colour and individuality, a true celebration of the group that made them.
