Right Here Right Now

Jumped Up Theatre wanted a group of young people to be able to create and curate their own digital zine. Local artists including Chloe Wilmot, Charley Genever, Korp, Laura Samson, Lee Ashton and Emily Steele-Dias worked with the group, exploring themes of IDENTITY, PASSIONS AND FAILURE to help them externalise their feelings. We then facilitated workshops to create an identity for the project. We introduced the group to the branding process and coached them to make curatorial decisions about how the logo and zine would look.

“Allow us to embrace failure, celebrate our identities and support our passions RIGHT HERE, RIGHT NOW.”

Digital Zine Capsule Website

We facilitated sessions to discuss colours, fonts and the feel of the zine. Getting to know the group was really fascinating. They were passionate about the project and that made it really special to be a part of.

The group decided they would prefer a website as opposed to a page turning digital zine, for a more current and accessible solution. Each theme of the project has a page with a gallery of works across different styles and mediums. We repurposed some of the project artwork into bespoke page headers in colours to match the brand. The website serves as a contemporary time capsule and has an amazing mixture of writing, drawings, videos and audio, revealing what was important to young people in Peterborough at the time.
