Creating Worlds unveiled at Mountsorrel Library

October 9, 2026 by admin

Last month we were at Mountsorrel Library to launch Creating Worlds, a giant board game we co-created with local children for Culture Leicestershire. The storyboard is now in the library for children to play with, using their imaginations to further develop the worlds and characters created by their peers.

This project is the first of its kind. It was wonderful to see the benefit that the Arts Council England funding is bringing to the library and children in Mountsorrel. Thank you to everyone who came along and to Mountsorrel Parish Council.

The project has revitalised the relationship between the library and local primary school, provided creative opportunities and a lasting legacy. It has been an absolute pleasure to work on all round, and a great part of that was you! You’re fantastic to work with. You do everything you say you’re going to do when you say you’re going to do it. The way you worked with the children was spot on. You had the confidence to give them space to come up with their own ideas. You were completely at ease and in control. You adapt really easily to things and there was no fuss.
